Tom
has been involved in music since he was 9 years
old when he first began guitar lessons. One
Sunday afternoon after having seen the movie
"Superman", Tom came home and without ever
having had a piano lesson, sat down at the piano
and played the theme song from the movie
soundtrack. His "super" talent was definitely
apparent and piano lessons immediately followed.
As Tom continued to excel in his musical
accomplishments and after having surpassed the
expectations and abilities of a number of
different music instructors, he finally became a
private student of the acclaimed James
Tannenbaum of the Cleveland Institute of Music.
As a professional musician, Tom completed his
first CD album in December of 1998. In October
of 1999, after much encouragement from a number
of supporters and professionals that he had met
during the recording of his CD, Tom moved to LA
to pursue his dreams of a musical career.
Once Tom got to Los Angeles, he began working
for Jim Brickman, doing arranging and scoring
for his projects. Tom’s arrangements can be
heard on a vast array of Jim’s albums, including
Jim’s current release “Beautiful World” and the
new holiday album “Joy” available exclusively at
Target stores.
Tom currently lives in Los Angeles, where he’s
writing and producing a number of easy listening
piano CD’s for Wal Mart stores nationally
featuring original music. His first CD for the
chain, called “Lavender” has been a big success,
and his follow up CD, “Inner Peace” has just
been released nationally. And if that’s not
enough, Tom’s working on yet another CD to be
released with Fisher-Price; a lullaby album
called Ocean Wonders.
